New MerchandiseThe retail prices of any new merchandise we stock at The BookShelf never exceed the publisher's suggested retail price. However, virtually all publishers have the policy that prices are subject to change without notice. This is due to such factors as production costs increases when a book is reprinted; fluctuations in currency if they import some of their books as do presses such as Spring-Verlog, Elsevier, Cambridge University and Pergammon. As a result, it is possible for the price of a title to be higher than our original estimate if there is a delay between when we provide you a price and when you send us your order. We do guarantee our original price estimate for five (5) days and we do guarantee that you will not be charged more that the curent publisher's list price for any new merchandise you order. However, as is the case with the publishers, our prices are subject to change without notice. Prevoiusly Read BooksThe retail prices of most of our previously read paperback and hardback books are about 50% off the cover price. Excluded are Out-of-Print, New Releases and Rare/Collectibles books. Out-of-PrintThe retail price on out-of-print books is fair market value. Rare/Collectible BooksThe retail price on rare/collectible books is fair market value. |
